(Work Experience Starting Most Recent)
I am currently in the process of looking for a career possibility in the
Tulsa area, my most recent position was a contract position through GDH
Consulting Inc. with the Bank of Oklahoma as a Business Analyst. I had
the opportunity of providing support for five Windows and Web based
banking applications on a daily basis for all BOK subsidiaries throughout
the Southwest and South Central US. I would document each issue and the
steps to resolve them on the group SharePoint site to provide a
searchable resource reducing support costs. New software installation
requests were assigned by the group Vice-President and/or Lead Analyst
requiring installing the software along with pre-requisites and updating
the license lists part of which where kept in Microsoft Access or SQL
Server databases. Develop and document software reference material for
Tier 1 Helpdesk Technicians including Service Pack installation,
reinstallation of primary software and troubleshooting techniques.
Upon completion of the contract I was commended for a job well done
by all involved, unfortunately there weren’t any open positions to move
into.
In my previous position, I was laid off after being employed for 6 and
one half years in Oklahoma by Cadillac Jack Inc., a Gaming Machine
Manufacturer/Supplier located in Duluth, Georgia. When I was originally
hired tasks included installation and scheduled on-site service of a
Proprietary Casino Gaming System in approximately 30 casinos over much
of the southern United States which later was replaced with an in-house
developed Windows Based, Networked Casino Gaming System which included
Linux clients. Some of the opportunities I was able to perform were build
a Field Tech reporting site which provided a means for Technicians to
record machine parts used at each casino, service performed and special
notes or requests by Casino Management. Building up, configuring and
testing the servers running Windows Server 2000 then testing for
migration to Windows Server 2003. With the new system I moved into the
Server Systems Software Development Group designing; documenting and
supporting implementation of customized data backup procedures based
on each Casino or local Regulatory Commission requirements. Design, test
and document an automatic and manual database failover using SQL Server
2005.
Other responsibilities included Software Quality Assurance involving new
and upgrade kit installation as well as bug tracking, quality of customer
experience, accuracy and issue isolation. Initial contact and setup for
testing and certification of the Gaming System Software with two
certification laboratories one located in Las Vegas and the other in New
Jersey. Trained and supported the Testing Lab Technicians on site as well
as first contact throughout the certification process and the acting
intermediary between the test laboratory and software developers. Member
of rotating on-call group as third level support for Field Services
supporting SQL Server, Windows Server 2003 and the Gaming System in live
production of approximately 60 casinos in the US and Mexico. Assigned to
build small web and Windows based enhancements and stand alone
applications in-between trips.
While with Williams Communications I was hired as a Workflow Coordinator
and Remote Diagnostic Technician charged with managing the trouble ticket
system assigning tickets to Tier II Desktop Support Technicians and
supporting all Williams Communications laptops and workstations outside
the Tulsa area. Recognized in April of 2001 for doubling the previous
record for Most Resolved Tickets by 2 times and maintaining that record
to produce a new standard for Williams Tier II Desktop Support.
Previously I consulted with TEKSystems Inc. through their Tulsa location,
one of several projects I was assigned to include Sabre Inc, Subsidiary
of American Airlines for which I was in charge of reviewing applications
for their Hardware Help desk for qualified individuals, pre-screening and
scheduling interviews performed by Hiring Supervisors. This project was
intended to be for three months but due to my abilities the contract was
extended to seven months.
Notable experience in my work history would include 17 years employment with CSR Hydro
Conduit in Tulsa which added the experience of Developing and Maintaining an ISO type Quality
Program (AARM), Inspection and Supervision of the Corporate Safety and Quality Assurance
Programs and Negotiated, Developed and Maintained the First Oklahoma Department of Transportation
Self-Certification Agreement for Concrete Pipe Products between CSR Hydro Conduit and the
State of Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).
My Education at Tulsa Community College included programming in COBOL, RPG, JCL, JAVA,
Visual Basic 6, Intermediate and Advanced Visual Basic, HTML, NT Server Administration,
Network Design and Troubleshooting, Novel NetWare 3.x, DOS, UNIX, PC Configuration and
Set-up, Access and MCSE Prep for Win2K Server and Win2K Pro. Named to President’s or
Dean’s Honor Roll each semester. At Tulsa Technology Center I completed Basic AC/DC
electronics.
Thank You,
Tim Spencer
